  2. Rawhiti Caves. It looks like a dragon should live here, on the misty days the soft cloud hangs around the entrance, it is the perfect place for a dragon to live. Darcy Manson named the cave Rawhiti which means sunrise due to the sun hitting the back of the cave in winter. This is one of the earliest tourism ventures in Golden Bay, Darcy took tours up to the cave until the 1920’s. It is one of the largest cave entrances in New Zealand. The walk is suitable for all ages, will make you puff a bit and best to avoid if it is wet, as it is very slippery

  3. Anatoki Salmon. Watch salmon back-flip out of the water, listen as they splash on the surface,keep your eye out for the big one, feel the thrill as the salmon teases your line with nibbles just before you reel it in and land it with delight.   4. Hack n Stay. What a place this is.   5. Love to ride your bike? There is a variety of family friendly trails in Golden Bay. Golden Bay Cycleway is constantly being extended, you can now ride from Pohara to the Takaka township and then on to Paynes Ford from there following the Takaka River towards rural East Takaka.

    Motupipi Hill trails. Nice wide trails, fun and a great place to introduce all ages to friendly single track. Beautiful views and accessible from Cassidy’s corner near the Motupipi Bridge.

    Rameka Project is for those that are ready to step it up a bit. Starting with the backtrack at the top of the Rameka Rd, starting off with fun with some rocks. After the backtrack connector you have the choice of Great Expectations, the Historic trail and then the more advanced Oddessy trail. There is something for everyone here.
